Arrr! I have just a slight hunch this might interest some of ya.

I'm starting an anthropomorphic RP message board which is a spin-off of one of my RP story worlds.

Talosia: Age of Sail (clicky clicky)

What is Talosia: Age of Sail? Well its basically an alternate world where canines evolved into intelligent, bipedal "anthropomorphic" form rather then humans, and over centuries evolved from more "feral savage" beast of wolves and coyotes to a wide diversity of domestic canines that parallels those found on earth.

So why canines for this setting? I wanted to make a world that offered the player a lot of options to personalize his or her character, and no other species of mammal is so diverse with still being genetically compatible so it makes sense from a more logical approach to how this "single sentient race" could exist yet be so diverse. Wolves and Coyotes make up the natives who at this point in Talosian history still exist, though they are being displaced, pressured into converting to the ways of the European or Asia parallel Empires, or in many cases hunted to extinction.

This is also takes place in golden age of piracy, when vast empires stretch thin in the attempt to spread their influence and gather resources and territory. When rich merchant ships make plump targets for those willing to take the risk of sailing the skull and cross bones.

There are far too few Pirate/ Age of Sail era RPs out there, and even fewer that are anthro themed though there seems to be a good following for both ^^ So anyone who might be interested in this should sign up, get a character together and posted, and then we can start plundering the Estonians and Briston Empires (parallel to England and Spain)!

Yarr, what do you say, Mateys?

You scored as Captain Jack Sparrow. You are definitely quirky and often mistaken for mad but if anyone is truly paying attention they can see there is method to your madness. You try really hard to be bad but in the end you tend to do the right thing.

This is sort of a rough draft, so far, but I suppose an intro/preliminary chapter for something I'm trying to beat myself into writing.

Anyhow!

Self-insert/Mary Sue? Shamless PotC:DMC reference/rip-off? OH YEAH. It is great fun, though. This is only about 2-3 pages, basically just what happens after Captain Frika and his crew sack a merchant vessel.

Please read and tell me what you think.

It's probably pretty boring, I think my writing's awfully dry, and I think you can see my flailing in my writing.

Grabbing the first post as I got the best street creds!  Yah?  Ok, here ye go maties...

Cracked Castle Wolfenstein for the Apple ][+.  Turned out to be quite simple even though it was the most notoriously slow disk to copy at the time.  Had to use quarter-tracking with Locksmith 4.1 on it.  Well, 13 sector disk with the catalog track moved to $09.  How to crack?  Well, when you move to the top of the screen through a stairway, flip the door of the drive open, wait to recalibrate twice, close the door, recalibrates once more and drops into prompt.  Examine ram for disk parameters.  Easy!

Used to get Broderbund games before they were released, ripped out of the servers.

0-Day?  Yah, been there, done that.  Remember all the servers in the US Postal Service?  Nice stash space eh?  That would have synched up with the time I was running a business here north of the border selling DirecTV card reader/writers over the net.  Had the RCMP in the shop more than a few times.  Sorry boyz!  We know the law and we grey-area!  Wanna coffee?

My boss in Thompson just hated this bumpersticker (click for full printable version).  Didn't like the thought of a customer seeing it on my car as they came in to pay their internet bill.  Sorry dude, won't come off for some reason.  I've also seen that cat-skull pirate image floating around the net here and there.  Found the original image on an ancient CD that surfaced recently.  File creation date was sometime in spring of '96.  Cute eh?

Speaking of piracy... got cut off by Shaw Cable twice for excessive bandwidth usage.  Last time I was told that I had the second-highest downloads in the city (of 750,000).  Joy!  But I must find out who was number one and kill them.  Honor demands it.
